Well, this may be my last wedding post for awhile…looks like I may get to hibernate a little bit this winter, but Jacki and I deserve it.  We’ve really done so many many weddings.  We photographed 67 last year, and about 55 this year.  And now that we are doing some things for Texoma Living Magazine, we’re kinda looking forward to a small rest.  But we’ll definitely keep posting blogs, tweets and fb statuses.  We’re kind of addicted to it.

But I digress.  Let’s have a look at the wedding of a couple of weeks ago at Bingham House in McKinney.  It was the lovely Kalyn and handsome Kris.  I heard so many compliments on their engagement session that I know you’ll luv their wedding photos.  Here’s Kalyn.

So Kalyn then waves goodbye for her and for wedding season.  We shall meet again!

Some weddings, when you very first hear about them, you say ‘man, I have GOT to do that wedding!’.  Mark and Rachelle’s wedding was just that kind of wedding.  Halloween night…Bingham House…and everyone (including yours truly) dressed up twenties style.  Oh yeah.  I am soooo there.

There will be more detail shots than normal in this post, because there were more details at the wedding than most.  So let’s go back, back, back in time, to those roaring twenties…

I knew it was going to be a night of danger, mayhem and debauchery when I first walked in the door.

This was really cool…you couldn’t get into the speakeasy, ah, I mean reception, unless you knew the password and could get past security.

I really thought this couple looked the most authentic of any of them.  My friends know that I was once really close friends with Clyde Barrow’s sister Marie (for real), and so I have been able to see LOTS of photos from that era, and these two nailed it.

There were rumors that there were some flatfoots outside ready to raid the joint.

And that’s just what happened.

Sadly, Mark and Rachelle were given a free trip downtown.  But no worries.  I hear they have an excellent lawyer.

It was an amazing wedding and one that I’ll never forget.  Thanks for letting us do the mug shots!

I had such a great experience photographing Shane and Jill at Bingham House in McKinney. It was a perfect day, about 3 days after the storms came through, and we were all glad that the wedding was able to take place. Damage was evident everywhere, but much like my own historic home, Bingham House is just made better than a lot of newer homes, so away we go…

Shane is supercool. He’s also a photographer, but I didn’t know him until we met at the interview. But in the interim, he’s helped me with a couple of weddings, and the Rock the Runway session we did for Seventeen Magazine. He’s a really great photographer, and we work really well together.

Here’s Jill. After working with her three times (engagement, bridal, and now the wedding), I can honestly say she’s an early nominee for bride of the year!

Jill’s extremely photogenic and comfortable in front of the camera. Most people who spend a lot of time with photographers are.
